What we collect

The crib phone watches two things: how much your baby is moving, and how loud the room is. From that it works out a few numbers, a few still images, and the night itself.

  • How much your baby moved during a disturbed stretch, as one number. No skeleton drawing, no face landmarks.
  • How loud it was, as a sound level number measured on the crib phone. The number travels; the sound stays in the room.
  • Sleep and waking events: when a session started and ended, and whether a moment looked like a stir, a wake, or a loud noise. Plus the room temperature the phone read.
  • Still images, taken when the detector fires and on a regular cadence, so you can check the crib when you wake up. They are kept in your account.
  • Live video, only while you have the live view open. It goes from the crib phone to your phone, encrypted, sometimes through a relay when a direct connection is not possible. It is not recorded or stored.
  • Crib phone health: battery level, whether it is charging, how hot it is running, and whether its camera and connection are working.
  • Your account: your email address, your baby's name and birth date, and which crib phone is paired to your family.
How long we keep it

Indefinitely while your account is active. Automatic deletion is not built yet, so we are not going to invent a number of days for you. When it ships, this page will say so.

Who else can see it

The adults on your family account. The sleep service your care team uses reads the finished sleep events for your baby, and nothing else. The companies that host and send this data process it to run the service. We do not sell it and we do not use it to advertise.

Who handles this data for us

These services run parts of Sleepy Sounds. They process data only to run the service.

  • Neon — stores sleep events, device health, and family records
  • Hostinger — runs our servers
  • Cloudflare — stores app downloads and relays live video when needed (not stored)
  • Lovable and Supabase — host the web app and sign-in
  • Vera — your baby's shared profile; receives finished sleep events
  • Sentry and PostHog — crash reports and product analytics, without names or identifiers
  • Apple and Google — deliver notifications and distribute the apps
What we never send anywhere
  • Audio from the nursery. The crib phone never records or stores a sound, and no recording is kept anywhere. It only measures a sound level as a number, and that number is all it sends.
  • Your baby's name, in crash reports, analytics, or error messages.
  • Passwords, session cookies, or the keys your devices use to pair.
  • Raw family, child, or crib-phone identifiers in links, logs, or error reports.
  • Photos, video, or frame bytes in crash reports, analytics, or error messages. They stay in your account.

Sleepy Sounds is a sleep-support and soothing assistant. It is not a medical device, safety monitor, emergency alerting system, SIDS product, breathing monitor, or certified baby monitor replacement.
